I was heading to lunch, and one of my students stopped me complimenting my look. I immediately thought "Hey...I haven't blogged in forever!" I haven't forgotten about you guys at all, but the beginning of my 2018 was very turbulent. Nonetheless, I am back at it and happy to share the trends and what's in for 2018.
The monochromatic look is in this winter and is expected to carry over into the Spring season. Before, our moms used to dress us in "matchy" outfits that gave a blah look; now, it is the thing to do! If you began shopping for winter in the summer and fall, you should have seen the hunter greens, browns, and of course blacks. Those items matched together do provide a monochromatic (same color) look.
I simply wore my brown Perry Ellis trousers and patterned Perry Ellis shirt that I paired with a patterned bowtie. In an earlier blog, I told you guys to not be afraid to layer your patterns for a complete look. Trust me it works! Anyway, I am working to rid the fat in my stomach area, but that didn't stop me from wrapping it tight with a brown vest and completing my entire look with my brown top coat. Take it all in GENTS, and try your own monochromatic look this week!
