Good afternoon Gents! There is no experience like experience itself. With that considered, its this time of year that we give our all to everyone around us that there is nothing left for ourselves. This year, I decided to work a little self-care and self-gifting into my holiday season. What has started as a try on Groupon is now going to be a regular self-care treatment.
I typically would go to one particular national chain that's known for their massage therapy, well on a day last week, I scrolled upon an advertisement for float tank therapy at FLOATspa- Little Rock. I am always looking for new ways to relax and implement self-care. Well Gents, this was one of those opportunities. Any desirable man would take advantage of a deal, with that I bout the 35% off 60 minute float tank therapy session.
Because a desirable man does his research, I immediately went to the company's website to see what I was getting myself into. There at https://floatspaus.com/ I was able to click the tab to see what this entire experience was. The tank itself holds 1000 liters of salt water which frees from you from gravity and enables you to float. My Experience was smooth as follows: After

scheduling my appointment, I arrived completely new to this experience. I was greeted at the door with a smile and signed the important waiver. The owner, Budo, was there and walked me back. The transition was somewhat magical. As I was escorted to the treatment areas, it was dimly lit with blue skylights. This immediately caused my apprehension to calm itself. Once in the changing room, I removed my outside clothes and put on the slippers and robe. The outer waiting area boasted two plush white leather couches. There was a drink station that hosted tea, coffee and water. Of course you don't want to drink the coffee before hand. I went into the private room with my tank where Budo gave me the steps on how to enjoy the tank. Once the important informational session ended, I took a shower washing my hair and got into the tank. You have the choice of going completely bare-which I did- or wearing a base layer of clothing like tights or training shorts. Once inside, I closed the lid and hit the button so that it would alert the staff that I am in the tank and my time can begin (see you truly get all 60 minutes that you pay for). You're then sedated by background music that you can hear through the earplugs provided. You have the option to turn the lights off in the tank-which is advised.

After about 10 minutes, the music turns off and it is you, complete darkness, and the serenity of floating. When the time was nearing the end, the music came back on, followed by the lights and the filtration system. It is a subtle way to be welcomed back into reality. I got out of the tank, took a shower (which is directly outside of the tank), and retreated back to the locker room.

I went to the front and did a close out talk with Budo about my experience. I told him that I was going to blog about it today. He gave be a tour of other portions of the facility. For those of you who are claustrophobic, there is a larger tank in which you enter it via a sliding door like a ship, the top of it is 10' above you so that you don't feel as though you are tightly closed in.
Overall, I would recommend float therapy to those who aren't afraid of water and enjoy complete silence and darkness. This by far is a much different experience from the traditional "massage table" method of relaxation therapy. A desirable man is one who is open to new experiences as well as those that will free his mind and allow for his creativity to flow. Enjoy your holiday Gents and I will see you in the new year!
Saying goodbye to anxiety, goodbye to stress, goodbye financial strains, goodbye bad relationships and goodbye disappointments!
