Hello Gents! It has been several months since I have checked in with you. It has been all in good reason...I must assure you. Having located to the New England region of our country has been all things new, somethings familiar, and nothing unexpected! With that being said, I have finally adjusted to my new role at one of the University's here and thought to "dust off" my MacBook keys and blog.
A man of desirability is a man who has not forgotten himself. Yes, in the transition of relocating to one of the coldest regions of our country (even in summer months) I had almost forgotten about myself. Well, while on Instagram one day, I saw that one of my favorite musicial artist, Syleena Johnson, was performing in Boston! If you aren't familiar with her work, she is the heavy and soulful voice featured on the Grammy nominated track "All Falls Down" by Kanye West. So for once, I thought to treat myself and slide on down to Boston for entertainment.
The event was held at the City Winery-Boston, which is a known venue for events such as this. While doors opened at 7:00 p.m. and my commute with traffic is a little over two hours, I took advantage of this early time to go and hang with one of my fraternity brothers. We ate at one of the popular pubs near the venue called Coogan's. After catching up with him, I headed on over to the Winery to enjoy the vibrant and and perfected vocals of Syleena. I secured my seat, a glass of Chardonnay, and enjoyed the magic.
As for what I wore, I took advantage of the last few days we have for summer and wore a light turquoise Polo Ralph Lauren Cotton Spa Terry Sweatshirts, Gap Skinny Jeans, and Cole Hahn ZEROGRAND Wingtip Oxfords. I choose this over my typical concert attire, all black, because it is the last summer months- yet out temperatures are from the low 40s to high 70s, it was appropriate for the venue yet comfortable. Nonetheless, I was BLUE for my live listening and entertainment session with Syleena Johnson. Enjoy the remainder of your week Gents!
