Alone Not Lonely

Greetings wonderful people! The way of the world as we currently see and experience it is not what any of us could fathom a month ago. If you aren't married to the local or national news networks, there is possibly a chance that your today was truly unforeseen. While many of us live in states that have used public policy to order us to "Shelter-in-Place," we are doing just that. Yes, I too have seen the redundant posts that are outcries of people desiring to be freed from their homes in which most of their salaries are allocated, but there are some of us who are using this time to actively engage with ourselves.

I know you're probably saying to yourself, "PJ is speaking of that dark-sided stuff!" No, I am in fact speaking of the opposite. I am speaking of the light that many of us could only see at the end of the tunnel, yet we have been granted days of solitude to actively do what we could not do before. I know I am not the only one who would always say, "I just need to have a day/weekend to myself," "I am doing everyone else's work that I don't have time to do my own," "I just need a break from the world," or "I guess it will just have to wait until later." Whatever your rationale was for putting yourself last can no longer be used in the present. Many of us now have "all the time in the world" to tend to those very same projects, tasks, business ventures, educational endeavors, or simple acts of self-care. Basically, the universe has rewarded us with the very same time that we have beckoned of it.

Now is your time! We should be doing our due diligence in the present moments so that our "after-quarantine" time reflects the very same visions that a month ago we differed infinitely. For me, I have picked up the readings that I left on the shelf for tomorrow, this weekend, or next week. I have dedicated all of my energy to further develop myself emotionally, spiritually, and professionally. Opposed to the obligatory screen-time that I am held to by my employer Monday through Friday, I can now cross-examine my "WHY, WHO, and WHAT." My NOW allows me to truly re-examine my purpose. So opposed to only looking at the multitude of flight, hotel and car rental reservations that I had to cancel, I can now reignite my internal engine to achieve my greater.

Take this moment in time to get organized, prepared, and ready.

We must begin with organization as the other two attributes aren't possible if they have been initiated in chaos. Organization is not only present in the literal experience, but it also exists in the mental and spiritual experiences as well. Clean and clear a dedicated work space whereby you are allowed to spread out various and varying pieces of literature, computer, and any other devices that would enable you to fulfill any specified objective on any given day. To follow, you want to be sure that you use a scheduling device to ensure you are on task when you say you want to be- this is also a great way to track your progress. I prefer to write mine down on a desk calendar opposed to my cell calendar or Outlook calendar. There is something special about when you "pen a plan" and how it manifest in your reality. Prepare yourself internally and externally for whatever task that you want to achieve or obstacle that you are wanting to overcome. Mentally ensure and assure yourself that what you have planned that you are also prepared for. You will want to be in agreement with your spirit that you are acting upon and acting on what you are truly desiring to achieve and/or overcome. Lastly, you want to be ready. You see, once you are organized and prepared, you are now ready to receive what you have diligently and purposefully set yourself up to accept.

Time is of the essence as the many opportunities of distraction we once had are now few. However, time is plentiful now in that you can invest and re-invest into your present self for your "after- quarantine" self. Examine where you are today, and document where you want to be in the future. Do the work and get ready to accept your best self. Remember, you are alone, but you are not lonely!
